The real estate market on this island is unregulated; there are no strict licensing requirements for brokers and agents, there is no multiple listing system allowing easy scanning of available properties. Brokers need to sell their own listings first and only a minority is willing to share. There are some who call their impressive listing portfolio 'multiple listings', but they are not in the sense the term is used in North America.

Don't base an investment decision on information solely provided by the selling party. Let RealStMaarten give you an introduction to the local real estate market.
